PHYNANCE residency artists Simon and Tom Bloor will present a screening of archive and contemporary films relating to Graeme Greene's The Destructors (1954). The short story follows a group of teenagers, known as the Wormsley Common Gang as they destroy a beautiful two hundred year old house, claiming that "destruction, after all, is a form of creation". Tom and Simon have chosen to respond to this story through found film as they further their research into public space and the paradox of unintentional creation through vandalism.
