This documentary exhibition marks the return of Henry Moore’s Draped Seated Woman 1957-58 to the East End of London. Purchased by the London County Council in 1961 for its new Stifford Estate in Stepney, the monumental bronze sculpture, one of an edition of 6, soon became known locally as ‘Old Flo’. In 1997, when the towers on the estate were being demolished, Draped Seated Woman was removed to Yorkshire Sculpture Park for safe keeping, a loan that lasted until 2017. ‘Old Flo’ finally came back to Tower Hamlets last year and can be seen in Cabot Square at Canary Wharf until 2022.
