Dubmorphology return to Beaconsfield for a special improvised performance, working with signature elements of electronica, oral histories, sonic plants and architecture.
Black Industrial sound artists Trevor Mathison and Gary Stewart work in collaboration as the performance group Dubmorphology. Paul Hamlyn Award-winner Mathison was a founder, composer, sound designer and audio recordist of the internationally renowned cine-cultural artist group, The Black Audio Film Collective (1982-1995) and formed Dubmorphology with fellow media artist, Gary Stewart (2003–present). Stewart is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of sound, moving image and computational creativity. As Dubmorphology they explore social and political issues of identity, culture, and technology.
The sonic installation, bar and snacks will be available from 19:30 hrs, with a special live performance at 20.45 hrs.
