Join artists Felicity Hammond and Debbie Kent on a walking tour of the area around the gallery. The walk uses listening as a way into experiencing the sensual city that lies beyond and beneath the silent virtual world of the property developers. Starting at arebyte Gallery with a brief introduction to soundwalks, we will then walk around the immediate area of City Island, Goodluck Hope, East India Dock Basin and Bow Creek, and end back at the gallery with a discussion of what our experience of sound and other sensory inputs adds to our understanding of urban transformation. The walk will be slow and gentle, although there may be some steps involved.
