Overview

Duygu Demir (Research and Programs, SALT, Istanbul) will talk about the newly opened institution in Istanbul, its mission, the architecture of its two buildings, as well as providing a look at SALT's first exhibitions. Having worked on "I am not a Studio Artist," the most comprehensive presentation of works by the Turkish artist Hüseyin Bahri Alptekin, Demir will discuss the exhibition and its accompanying publication. The talk will also attempt to briefly capture the current state of the art scene in Istanbul.
