Overview

This open studio event marks the end of Catalina Bauer’s two-month residency as part of Gasworks’ Participation Programme. On display is new work made in collaboration with groups of local women as part of her ongoing project Net Work Shop. During her residency, Bauer has been leading a series of workshops where participants have experimented with traditional knitting, weaving and knotting techniques using everyday materials. Using the ‘body as a tool’, the groups have worked together to produce of a variety of large-scale, sculptural works that will be on display during the evening.
