Overview

Marcy Saude presents The Counter, an expanded cinema presentation of a video work-in-progress. Utilising super 8 and slide projections, recorded sound and live narration, it concerns numbers and their relationship to object typologies and processes of quantification and possession. The Counter is screened alongside Location Instructions, a site-specific video installation project constructed from material filmed over the days prior the screening, created in response to the specific landscape of London and the locality of Gasworks. THE COUNTER & LOCATION INSTRUCTIONS are part of SITUATION|EVENT (SIT|EV), a 60-day programme exploring live, durational and participatory contemporary art practice, bringing audiences in direct contact with the process of art making as it unfolds.
