Join us for a special performance by Samia Halaby and the Kinetic Painting Group.
An innovator in early digital art, Halaby began coding what she calls ‘kinetic abstract paintings’ on her Amiga computer in the late 1980s. She later developed a programme to create these paintings live alongside other musicians. In the context of the exhibition Electric Dreams: Art and Technology Before the Internet, this event presents a unique opportunity to experience Halaby perform with the original Kinetic Painting Group musicians Kevin Nathaniel Hylton and Hasan Bakr.
