Join us to celebrate the publication of two new titles by Magali Reus: Dearest + Red Roses
Dearest is designed by Irma Boom and offers unique insight on the sources, visual imagery, and connections that gave birth to three emblematic series by Magali Reus: Dearest (2018), Empty Every Night (2019), and Settings (2019-2021). Conceived as a space where the viewer can take their time to get a closer, more intimate connection to her work, the publication features contributions by Anthony Huberman, Philomena Epps and Sean Burns. Published by JRP|Editions with the support of the Mondriaan Fonds, the Jaap Harten Fonds, and the Stedelijk Museum Fonds.
Red Roses is designed by Wolfe Hall Studio and brings together a selection of recent sculptural and photographic works by Magali Reus including those exhibited at Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens (2022), Centre d'art contemporain - la synagogue de Delme (2023), and Kunsthalle Bratislava (2023). Exploring the tensions between nature, technology and the impact of post-industrial human activity the publication features written contributions by Rebecca May Johnson and Filipa Ramos. Published by nai010 with the support of the Mondriaan Fonds, the Jaap Harten Fonds, and the De Gijselaar-Hintzenfonds.
