Overview

For his solo show at Cristea Roberts Gallery, Winstanley presents new hand-coloured prints and paintings. Through the process of printing the works are gradually divorced from their subject matter, leaving the viewer to imbue the compositions with their own interpretation. Interested by the aesthetics of the sublime, Winstanley explores how pictures can mythologise reality.
