On the opening day of Julie Mehretu’s exhibition ‘They departed into their own country another way’ at White Cube Bermondsey, the artist will be joined in conversation by Adrienne Edwards.
From the gallery, the two will discuss Mehretu’s exhibition, which debuts three new series of paintings.
Adrienne Edwards is the Engell Speyer Family Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Whitney Museum of American Art. As a writer, Edwards has authored and contributed to many publications, including a 2019 monograph of Julie Mehretu’s work, which was named one of The New York Times Best Art Books of the year.
