ABOUT JIRO OSUGA

Jiro Osuga was born in Tokyo and grew up in Japan and the UK. He studied Fine Art at Central St Martins, Chelsea and theRoyal College of Art in London. Recent exhibitions include: The Everyday Joys of Japan: Paintings by Jiro Osuga, Charles B. Wang Center, New York; Queen’s Terrace Café, London; Japanese Embassy, London; and Streatham Festival, London. Osuga’s work is in the collections of both the Museum of London and the Royal College of Art.

ABOUT TIMOTHY HYMAN

Hyman studied at the Slade School of Fine Art (1963-1967). He has exhibited widely in the UK, Italy and India and won the National Portrait Gallery Travel Award in 2007. He is a figurative painter, writer, curator and lecturer. A recognised authority on Sienese painting and the work of Pierre Bonnard, he has published acclaimed monographs on both subjects. He has written extensively on art and film, is a regular contributor to the Times Literary Supplement and has curated exhibitions at the Tate, ICA and Hayward galleries.
