The crits are facilitated by Peer Sessions (artists Kate Pickering and Charlotte Warne Thomas). For our next event on Thursday 6 October, 7pm-9pm Chisenhale Gallery friend Thomas J. Price will join as a guest contributor.
To participate and contribute to the discussion, please book via the link in the sidebar.
Two artists will share recent work as part of the crit. If you are an artist who wants feedback on new work or work in progress and would like to share it with the group, reserve a place as above and get in touch via email ([email protected]).
We are especially keen to present the work of artists who are currently outside of formal education, for whom the opportunity to have peers critique their work is less common than those presently studying on undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
Thomas J Price (b. London, UK, 1981) works across media, encompassing sculpture, film and photography, is engaged with issues of power, representation, interpretation and perception in society and in art. From his early performance piece, “Licked" (2001) to more recent large-scale “abstract” bronzes, Price has always utilised methods of presentation, material, scale, and detail in order to challenge viewers' expectations and assumptions.
We are committed to ensure our events are accessible for all. Please contact [email protected] if you have any access needs that we can meet to enable you to participate. We will endeavour to meet all requests with reasonable notice.
