A Coin in Nine Hands

1 Jul 2017

Large Glass
London N1 1DN

Overview

Where will the coin go next? Whose hands will it pass through? From June, the gallery hosts a bold experiment in art, space and time. Marguerite Yourcenar’s novel ‘A Coin in Nine Hands’ follows the journey of a ten-lira coin as it travels between nine different people on a single day in Rome in 1933. This evolving exhibition, inspired by the book, will explore connection and exchange, linking the work of nine artists and presented between June 2017 and March 2018.
