The dawn of foxes, bright morning sunlight, waking birds and early morning business such as the sounds of markets setting up and the dazed party-goers of the previous night are the emerging material for Waller’s newly reconstructed narrative. Within a new period of research the artist will merge this scene with the ancient past of Mesopotamia together with present day scientific observations of solar storms. Working in video, sculpture and event based practices, Mark Aerial Waller provides both an interpretation and interruption of cinema history. With recourse to technological and narrative mechanisms, Waller stretches, reiterates and at times perverts the mainstream vocabulary of structure and dramatic staging.
