A Decade of the Mark Tanner Sculpture Award

15 May-29 Jun 2013

Standpoint Gallery
London N1 6HD

Overview

Bringing together for the first time the winner of the Mark Tanner Sculpture Award from each year since its inception. Each artist has been given free rein to create new work, or revisit existing pieces in this new context, and the resulting exhibition will demonstrate the range of materials and approaches that the award has supported over the decade and how the artists’ practice have progressed since their award. Alongside the gallery exhibition we are proud to launch ‘Thinking is Making, Presence and Absence in Contemporary Sculpture’, published by Black Dog. With contributions by critic Martin Herbert, Fiona MacDonald and Matilda Strang.
