Matt Stokes : Madman in a Lifeboat
1 Apr-24 May 2015

Madman in a Lifeboat; an immersive, sculptural video installation built around the pilot episode of a faux situational film comedy series based on the surreal imaginings of 74-year-old East Londoner, Charlie Seber. This collaborative project, between Stokes and Seber, explores a manifesto devised by Seber during the 1980s for a movement called Truth, Reality, Activism, which spans pseudo-scientific doctrines, anarchic philosophies and self-penned hymns that have largely remained locked in his mind since their creation.
