Minds to Lose marks the first UK solo exhibition by multimedia artist Neha Choksi (b. 1973, lives and works in Los Angeles and Mumbai). Beginning from a single proposition – rowing a boat made of ice out into a lake, or stripping all the leaves from a tree to isolate one sprig – Choksi’s works unfold outwards into wide-ranging reflections on presence, absence, and what the artist describes as ‘our tragic-comic relationships with the natural world’. A trilogy of recent video works will be presented, together with a new performance devised for the Hayward Gallery Project Space.
