Albion Jeune

About

Founded in 2023 by Lucca Hue-Williams, Albion Jeune is inaugurated by Esben Weile Kjær at 16-17 Little Portland Street on October 5th 2023. Albion Jeune presents a curated artist-led programme from its roster of emerging international artists, many of whom have significant institutional exhibition history. With a commitment to the continued survival of a truly ‘global art world,’ the gallery establishes a platform for cultural exchange. Albion Jeune operates an international roaming presentation through peer partnerships. The gallery offers a wide range of exhibitions, a public programme, and publications. Lucca Hue-Williams is Founder and Director of Albion Jeune. Holding a Bachelor and Master's degree in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, she has demonstrated a particular interest in Contemporary Chinese Art and Geopolitics, with her thesis on ‘a Socio-Political Portrait of Chinese Animalworks 1990-2000s.’ Her diverse experiences have seen her working across the globe and throughout various verticals of the art industry. Early in her career, Lucca gained formative insights into the intersection of art, design, and fashion at institutions such as Cai Guo-Qiang, Tom Ford, and Marc Newson. She also conducted research and assisted curatorially at UCCA, Beijing, and the inaugural Diriyah Biennale, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Lucca's understanding of the art market was further deepened working with Christie's Auction House. She grew up around artists, curators, and collectors through her work and family business, Albion Barn and Fields.
