Join us to celebrate the opening of Venom Zine Library at Raven Row as part of our current exhibition, Chronoplasticity, and browse a selection of more than 100 zines from the Library.
Assembled by Maya Acharya and Janna Aldaraji, Venom Zine Library is a DIY BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) zine library and platform for exploring self-publishing, based in Copenhagen. The project comes from a desire to collectivise access to zines, share resources on zine-making, and to build knowledge and use of self-publishing as a tool in communities, activist spaces, organising and academia.
For Chronoplasticity, Venom Zine Library have conducted research into self-publishing in anti-racist organising in the UK from the 1970s to the 1990s, presented in the form of a risograph publication: This spiral is a promise. Tell me again how it goes.
Venom Zine Library will remain open during gallery hours until 8 December. No booking required.
