Join us at Cubitt for a screening of Ambulance (2016) by Mohamed Jabaly
Presented as part of the extended programme for Kirsty Russell’s Practising Bodies exhibition; following conversations with the artist and the Healthcare Workers for Gaza (Scotland) group with whom she has been working for nearly a year.
When a talented young filmmaker tells the story of this country with compassion, beauty, and warmth in an honest, straight and raw first-person account of the war in Gaza in the summer of 2014. Mohamed Jabaly, a young man from Gaza City, joins an ambulance crew as war approaches, looking for his place in a country under siege. While thousands of things are published on the recurring violence, the stories behind them remain hidden. Not this one.

As with all Cubitt events, this screening is free. However, the artist and curator encourage attendees to make a donation to a charity of their choice in support of Palestine.
