Aster Guinness is an artist and teacher from Penzance, who uses traditional methods of drawing, painting, and colour theory to paint still lifes, portraits, interiors, and landscapes. Her work is often of everyday scenes yet have a feeling of intensity and an energy that comes from close attention. Aster’s paintings contain a visual tension and a drama that come from the different areas of colour meeting, colliding and harmonising.
