Overview

Join us for the launch of two new publications dedicated to Hannah Arendt, one of the most influential political theorists of the 20th century: 'We are Free to Change the World' & 'On Hannah Arendt'.

We are Free to Change the World: Hannah Arendt’s Lessons in Love and Disobedience (Jonathan Cape, UK; The Hogarth Press, USA; 2024), written by Lyndsey Stonebridge, is both a guide to Arendt’s life and work, and its dialogue with our troubled present. It's an urgent call for us to think, as Hannah Arendt did—unflinchingly, lovingly, and defiantly—through our own unpredictable times.

On Hannah Arendt: Eight Proposals for Exhibition (Richard Saltoun Gallery; 2023) is the book of a 14-month program of exhibitions, sonic interventions, virtual talks, and events dedicated to the Arendt's writings, organized by Richard Saltoun Gallery, London in 2022. It includes essays by esteemed academics such as Lyndsey Stonebridge, Roger Berkowitz, Judith Butler, Griselda Pollock among others.

Lyndsey Stonebridge will be in conversation with Dr. Hannah Dawson, Professor at King's College London, about Arendt's enduring legacy.
