Join writer and filmmaker Juliet Jacques and catalogue co-author Paola Rosina for an informal gallery talk on the groundbreaking work of photographer Lisetta Carmi (1924-2022).
Always motivated by a profoundly humanistic spirit, Carmi focused on marginalised sectors of society, such as the working-class and trans communities of her native Genoa. In addition to being striking works of art, Carmi's images are also important socio-political documents exploring significant, yet often overlooked, aspects of Italian life and culture.
The museum and Caffè Estorick will be open until 21.00, with drinks and refreshments available for purchase.
The event is FREE with an admission ticket purchased for the same day. Admission tickets can be bought online here.
Please note that the talk will take place in Galleries 1 and 2 and attendees will be required to stand and move around the galleries.
