Performance by Jingyi Ye - MA Performance: Theatre Making
This performance is based on the transformation of London's Chinatown to explore the different impacts its change of location has had on the community.
The work explores the perception of Chinatown from a new immigrant's perspective, the powerlessness of individuals in the face of the environment and social changes, especially the contradiction between the current highly commercialised Chinatown and everyday lives of the community.
