Overview

Join a panel who have worked hard to forge a path into the arts and helped emerging artists take ownership of their journeys

The panel will include Sarah Lucas, Ellie Pennick, Director and Founder of Guts Gallery, Pallas Citreon artist and Founder of the Bomb Factory Foundation and Emma Edmondson from TOMA who founded the Other MA.

This conversation will create space for speakers to reflect on their own journeys into the arts, the barriers they faced and the creative approaches they took to overcoming these. They will also share thoughts which may help this generation find a route into the art world amidst mounting financial and socio-economic barriers.

This will be a discursive event chaired by Andrea Schlieker, Director of Exhibitions and Displays at Tate Britain and will be followed by audience Q&A.
