International Curatorial Residency Symposium 2023
15 Sep 2023 11am-4pm

Join us for ‘Residencies for the 21st Century,’ a one-day symposium at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, celebrating the culmination of our 2023 International Curatorial Residency.
Returning for its fourth year, this event will highlight a range of pioneering approaches to residencies, through the experiences of influential leaders in the field. Moderated by Hauser & Wirth Senior Curatorial Director Kate Fowle, the symposium will explore how residencies can result in adventurous and often unexpected forms of creative production.
Drawing from private, public, and artist-founded models, discussions will examine co-creation and collaboration, untraditional spaces and creative discovery, studio-based and research-focused formats, and engagement with site and community.
This event is open to all, with donations supporting our 2023 – 2024 charitable partner, Bruton Community Library. Tickets cost £35 per person and advance booking is essential. The event includes refreshments and lunch served by Roth Bar & Grill.
