An exhibition of works by Michael Praed, Ken Symonds and Roger Curtis, which were collected by Neville Hodgson, a keen collector of art and a friend of both Michael Praed and Ken Symonds.
Neville Hodgson lived, worked and raised his family in Penzance. The paintings have been donated to the gallery on his behalf by his family because Newlyn Art Gallery was a place close to his heart. The works will be sold by Lay’s Auctioneers at their Fine Art Sale on 15 – 16 Jun, and the family wish the proceeds of the sale to be used to support the gallery’s work with young people.
If you wish to bid on the works, see https://www.davidlay.co.uk/buying/ or pick up Lay’s Auctioneers’ brochure at the front desk for further information (available nearer the time). Lay’s have generously offered to charge 0% commission on the sale, so that all the proceeds of the sale will go towards our work in schools, with families and supporting young people to take part in creative activities.
With thanks to Sally Crockett and her family for their kind donation.
