The Golden Ratio is a mathematical ratio you can find almost anywhere: in nature, architecture, painting, and music. In this discussion, we will explore how this ratio surrounds us and how Nagihan integrates it into her patterns by using the ancient art form of Tezhip – combining a 15th century Ottoman tradition with modern ideas. Zeynep Iqbal is an architectural designer and artist who works between traditional arts and sustainable regeneration. She achieved her bachelors at Technical University of Vienna and was awarded the Kairos Prize for her work on Islamic and geometric artwork at The Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts. She currently resides in North London and continues to work from her creative studio.
