Overview

To mark Shilpa Gupta’s links to language and poetry, exemplified by her large-scale sound installation For, In Your Tongue, I Cannot Fit (2017–18), included in her exhibition Sun at Night (Barbican, London, until 6 February), we present Words and Images, an online viewing room that pairs an artwork by a gallery artist with a poem or an excerpt from a work of literature.
