Getting Dressed

25 Nov-27 Nov 2021

V.O Curations
London W1S 2YZ

Overview

Getting Dressed is a group exercise in collaborative making, improvisation and assemblage, led by artists Jack O'Brien, Sam Cottington, Tenant of Culture and Valerie Kong.

The three collaborative making sessions seek to unpack and address questions around the idea of dressing, in bodily and architectural contexts. By adopting a hands-on approach, participants will come together to create new garments out of old ones, build support structures out of found materials and embellish surfaces with collaged images.

The garments and structures created during the sessions will be styled by fashion stylist, Hamish Wirgman, and be exhibited in the Project Space at V.O Curations from 2-16 December.

A finissage for the project will take place on Tuesday 7 December from 6-8pm.

Proof of negative covid test taken within 24 hours of the workshops is required for entry and participation. Please contact us if you require assistance in accessing a test.
