Learn how to take and develop photographs using a large format camera with photographer Eddie Otchere. Using 'Life and its Trivial Particulars' as a starting point, this workshop will examine the methodology behind studio photography. Bring your own objects to create a still life composition in Van Gogh House, taking your personal snapshot with a large format camera and developing your print in our garden studio.
Each focussed workshop caters for two participants.
We have been loaned a camera by 'The Intrepid Camera Company' who aim to make large format photography accessible to a much wider audience. They are now the biggest modern manufacturers of large format film cameras worldwide.
Eddie Otchere is a London-based curator, photographer and educator, whose work has been shown in several institutions (Institute of Contemporary Photography, New York; National Portrait Gallery, London; South Bank Centre, London) and appeared in several magazines such as Frieze, Dazed, among others.
