Join artist Emii Alrai in conversation with Eastside Projects’ Artist-Maker, Ruth Claxton, to hear about her current work in development, thoughts and ideas leading towards an exhibition at Eastside Projects in early 2022. Emii’s practice is informed by inherited nostalgia, geographical identity and post-colonial museum practices of collecting and displaying objects. You can expect to hear about her recent visits to Birmingham Museums archives and the material processes she is exploring.
