'Local History' presents the early works of Enrico Castellani, Donald Judd and Frank Stella. Taking its title from an essay Judd wrote in 1964 announcing a new kind of art that was neither painting nor sculpture, the exhibition traces this pivotal moment in art history revealing the creative intersection between these three exalted post-war artists. It is curated by the art historian Linda Norden together with Peter Ballantine, a leading expert on Judd and one of his long time fabricators. The exhibition takes place concurrently in London and New York.
