Too Many Earth Wires indicates a surfeit of objects, questionable functionality, the possibility of a black-out. This is reflected in the use of warped shapes and musty objects, discarded by their original owner. Works take the form of fan-shaped reliefs or shaped canvases. How works are displayed is an ongoing concern with paper stretched or pressed flat. Transparent materials allow light to enter from various angles; holes in the work allow the wall behind to be visible. Shaded light is incorporated through the use of printing processes and references to early photography.
