SPARE FACE by Tamsin Snow

12 Oct-10 Nov 2018

Block 336
London SW9 7AA

Overview

The first UK solo show by Tamsin Snow. Spare Face features a new installation and CGI animation work by the artist. Tamsin Snow’s CGI animations examine the relationship between science fiction and real world medical innovation. H+ takes the viewer on a virtual tour of a futuristic medical processing plant. This fictional facility offers their clients a wide range of services from bespoke body parts to cryopreservation. The reality of artificial intelligence, suspended animation, and developments in synthetic biology, have sparked debate across disciplines. H+ (2018) explores the question of morphological freedom and the possible impacts these technologies may have for our future selves.
