The first joint exhibition of the two independent artists in the UK. The two artists’ works fusion and produce synergy, resulting in even more depth and complexity. The exhibition touches the issues of consciousness, unconsciousness and character building process of young children. In this context, the subliminal is treated as inevitable trajectory of mind, and chance happenings, failures or mistakes are given status of legitimate works. ‘Perfect' does not exist', may be the order of the day, as seen by their general practice of not going too far, in fear of doing excess. The explicit choice of Ito to opt for hard to manipulate media such as embroidery or clay, also reflects his open invitation for unexpected and his aesthetics to dismiss doing too much in guise of approaching perfection.
