Paul Brown will showcase at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery from the 15 - 27th June. He has concentrated on studying the same subject at the same time on different days and is fascinated by how the same view can look so different. This has led him to paint the sunrise and sunsets in both London and Venice. No.2. Sunrise, St. Paul’s from Waterloo Bridge, is a fine impression of a vibrant sunrise on a hot summer’s day in London; while No.26. Sunrise, San Giorgio, Venice captures the striking Venetian morning light on a hot day in September. Brown is equally at home painting beach scenes and landscapes. He makes regular painting trips to the beaches of West Wittering and also loves painting the big skies of Norfolk. One of his landscape paintings No.25. Clouds, East Head, West Wittering which was painted in beautiful morning light earlier this year.
