Seeds of Memory looks back over Michael's 40 year career, exhibiting retrospective pieces such as Archive and The Art of Stitch alongside 9 new specially commissioned works. The New Worlds series has allowed Michael to explore the seeds of his own creativity. Enhanced with a new short film featuring Michael Brennand-Wood in his studio that documents him making some of these new pieces. An international reputation as one of the most innovative and inspiring artists working in textiles today. Michael draws in fabrics, his work is sculptural and tactile. Embroidery, lace-making and traditions in floral textiles; uses his knowledge in these ancient crafts and combines them with modern day techniques, such as digital printing and computerised machine embroidery, to create sculptural, wall-hung, textile and pieces.
