Overview

This exhibition features contemporary painting and sculpture by Gemma Kauffman, Lana Locke and Vanessa Mitter. The works explore aspects of the visionary and the other-worldly. Gemma Kauffman's practice encompasses a variety of strategies and media, which include painting, performance, installation and film. Theatrical and fantastical, her work is both compelling and dynamic. Lana Locke’s work explores themes of mortality, procreation, abjection and transgression. In Vanessa Mitter’s paintings, the personal is treated as a pliant material, a source of affect and investigation, but also of fiction and performance.
