Overview

An exhibition of drawings by Paul Anthony Harford (1943-2016). The display will focus on the strands of social realism and wry observation that run through Harford's work – as reflected by his fascination for the incidental, the everyday and the offbeat. Dating primarily from the mid-2000s, the drawings chronicle the characters and environments of the seaside towns where the artist spent much of his life, oscillating between humour and subdued melancholy.
