The much-anticipated show of new work by Hugo Wilson. The exhibition will consist of two main groups of work: paintings based on or inspired by the famous 'hunts' of Rubens, and a group of major terracotta sculptures depicting the labours of Hercules. The paintings draw motifs from old masters such as Rubens, Stubbs, Gainsborough and Giordano. The sculptures pull imagery from depictions of the labours of Hercules throughout history, from Greek and Roman representations to contemporary interpretations.
