Overview

Gerhard Richter’s forthcoming solo show is the inaugural exhibition of Marian Goodman Gallery, London, which will open to the public from 15 October 2014. The exhibition will occupy all the gallery spaces of its 11,000 sq. ft premises on Soho’s Golden Square, a former Victorian warehouse which has been entirely renovated.The exhibition includes substantial bodies of new Strip, Flow and Doppelgrau paintings, a large glass sculpture from 2013, as well as a selection of key abstract canvasses and Farben works from the previous decade. A number of these pieces were selected by the artist from his recent solo exhibitions at the Fondation Beyeler and Kunstmuseum Winterthur. This show will be accompanied by an extensively illustrated catalogue, with essays by Benjamin Buchloh, Robert Storr and Dieter Schwarz.
