Overview

To coincide with their commissioned artwork for Folkestone Triennial, The luckiest Place on Earth, Strange Cargo invites members of the public to have a physical and visible presence in the event as a participant in Lucky Me. Encouraging people to feel positive about themselves and the future of Folkestone, Strange Cargo actively involve their audience, making them the central artwork in an evolving installation. Participants are digitally scanned and their 3D portrait printed, before being displayed in the space. Actively exploring the participants’ thoughts and place in the world, people are encouraged to respond to the notion of luck.
