Overview

The new performance examines the relationship between voice, gesture and social norms. Gesture, voice and language contribute to an embodied vocabulary through which the three performers navigate fragmentary exchanges, reflecting on the edges of subjectivity, inner landscapes and representation, using sound and movement as a catalyst for transforming expression. And create alternative spaces, away from the power relations and politics that are often involved in it and thus empowering the individual. The performance is based on a script written by Nicole Bachmann and then developed with the three performers, based on experimentation and improvisation. The performers are Patricia Langa (E), Sonya Frances Cullingford (UK) and Seven (CA).
