Overview

The gallery's first exhibition by Milton Avery (1885-1965) features paintings and works on paper from throughout his career. A solo presentation of works will be at Art Basel, Booth R7 (15-18 June). Two new books on Milton Avery will be published by Victoria Miro in June: an extensively illustrated hardback publication including an essay by Edith Devaney; and a special-edition, two-volume publication including a facsimile of a sketchbook completed by Avery in the South of France in 1952, and a picture essay of the artist’s New York home and studio, photographed by Gautier Deblonde.
