Overview

In 2021, Grundy Art Gallery will celebrate the 110th anniversary of the opening of its doors to people from Blackpool and beyond. In the run up to and throughout this anniversary, Grundy Art Gallery will be highlighting works from its collection in a series of ‘spotlight’ exhibitions. The first in this series, ‘Spotlight on Sculpture’, brings together recent as well as long-standing acquisitions in a display that highlights key sculptural works from the Grundy Art Gallery collection. COLLECTION SPOTLIGHT: SCULPTURE features historical and contemporary works by: Heather Phillipson, Amy Stephens, Allison Katz, Gilbert and George, Laura Ford, Joe Fletcher Orr, John Millard (1862-1948) and James Harvard Thomas (1854-1921).
