Overview

Linder convenes an ambitious exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary, The House of Fame - a retrospective set alongside a constellation of her artistic influences. The show offers a deeper insight into Linder’s broad practice, highlighting concepts and concerns that underlie her work, whilst creating a new assemblage that allows connections to be made across disparate times and cultures. Linder’s multifaceted practice is displayed alongside over 30 artists and 200 works, with artefacts from the 1600s to today; including Inigo Jones, Aubrey Beardsley, Max Ernst, Moki Cherry, and Mike Kelley. Spanning across worlds of art and architecture, fashion and theatre, music and design, The House of Fame draws upon the artist’s eclectic sources of influence, interdisciplinary and multisensory approach, and a practice built on diverse creative collaborations.
