Overview

Between 1947 and 1949 Barbara Hepworth created a discrete body of works from her experience of witnessing orthopaedic and ear operations. For the first time, many of these works will be brought together to illustrate this fascinating aspect of Hepworth’s work and to highlight her skill as an accomplished draughtsperson. This three venue touring exhibition by Mascalls Gallery in Kent will premiere at The Hepworth Wakefield.
