Open to artists of any age and at any stage in their career, The Hepworth Prize for Sculpture celebrates artists who have made a significant contribution to contemporary sculpture. The new £30,000 biennial award is named in honour of Wakefield-born artist Barbara Hepworth. The four finalists for the inaugural prize - Phyllida Barlow, Steve Claydon,Helen Marten and David Medalla – reflect the breadth of sculpture being produced in the UK today. The exhibition celebrates this expansive art form from kinetic sculptures and experiential and sensory installations to work inviting audience participation.
